How to make bastik?
Wash the grapes, place a strainer in a deep bowl, put the grapes in the strainer and press firmly to extract the juice. Collect the water in the bowl and leave the seeds and shells in the strainer. Put the grapes, which have been separated from their pulp and have only juice remaining, in a pot and boil. Let's dilute the starch with sugar and water in another bowl. Add this mixture to boiling grape juice.
Continue boiling until combined.
Let's spread a clean cloth, pour starch on it and distribute the starch over the entire cloth. Take the first temperature of the condensed grape juice, pour it on the cloth and distribute it in a thin layer. After it dries, sprinkle starch on it and cut it with a knife. You can fold it with powdered sugar and put it in boxes.
